Ashe is a General Practitioner and career counsellor and is the founder of Medical Career Planning. Ashe started to develop an interest in career development for doctors whilst attempting to construct her career pathway in her early postgraduate training.

On completion of her General Practice training, she began her Masters of Clinical Education and worked in medical education with GP registrars. Her passion for career development in doctors grew and she completed her career development degree with the aim of assisting doctors with their personal career journey.

May is a second year Advanced Trainee in Gastroenterology at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.

May has an interest in medical education and quality improvement.

May organised the first showcase for other junior doctors to present projects on patient safety, and is on the faculty for Australia’s first roundtable for Emerging Leaders in Patient Safety.

In addition, May has spoken to universities regarding career planning to foster a broader perspective on health and the healthcare system amongst aspiring doctors. May was HETI’s 2014 JMO of the year and finalist for NSW Young Woman of the Year in 2016.

Rachel completed her medical degree at the University of New England and held various roles including the University of New England Medical Students Association Academic Convenor, Anatomy Tutor and Tablelands Clinical School Student Representative. Rachel completed her internship and residency within Hunter New England Local Health District and was a member of the Hunter New England Accelerated Psychiatry Program.
